Sir Elton NEVER did anything like this:
I will give him credit for trying his best with Pinball Wizard, but it was a one-off effort whereas Bowie tossed out several incredible albums worth.

Agreed! I like Elton John a lot but other than Goodbye Yellow Brick Road I can’t listen to an entire album. (And really not even then. Jamaica Jerk-Off is corny.) I’m glad the masses agree!
There’s a ton of stuff I “like” by Sir Elton. Goodbye Yellow Brick road, Pinball Wizard, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Daniel, Rocket Man. Like em all, lots. But I HAVE to have Moonage Daydream, Heroes, Quicksand, Cygnet Committee, Cat People, Under Pressure………
