Unintended Consequences - Justin Timberlake
Posted by Moonage | Filed under Interpretations
Just read this:
Timberlake modeled himself after David Bowie and Prince, and describes “SexyBack” as Bowie and David Byrne covering James Brown’s “Sex Machine.” “That’s the closest I could come,” he said. “That’s all of my influences for that song.”
This I gotta hear. Once.

July 22nd, 2006 at 1:04 pmHave you heard it yet? Its the usual mundane mediocre r&b stuff. I know i’m biased but all the presss reviews I have read here in the UK have laughed Timberlake off. He cant be serious to even compare himslef to Bowie or James Brown (whom I love).

July 22nd, 2006 at 11:18 pmYes I did. I can’t say I laughed it off. More like I was speechless trying to draw the comparisons he made. He needs to just stick to the boy-band stuff as long as he can.
